Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

Grade: Band 8A

Trust: Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS FT

Location: Laureate House, Wythenshawe Hospital, South moor Road, Manchester. M23 9LT

Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5pm

Pay rate: £ 26.06 Per Hour

To be successful in applying for this role you will need:

* Previous experience of working within an MBU, Specialist Perinatal Service and/or parent Infant team

* Perinatal experince

* HCPC registration as a qualified Clinical /Counselling Psychologist.

In addition to experience, all Qualified roles will be required to provide evidence of:

* Relevant Qualifications

* Registration with the relevant Registration Body

Role responsibilities:

* To exercise autonomous professional responsibility, within the context of multidisciplinary MBU team working, for the assessment, psychological formulation, treatment, and discharge of clients.

* To communicate orally and in writing, in a skilled and sensitive manner, information concerning the assessment, formulation and treatment plans of clients, to referrers and others involved in the client’s care.

* To make highly skilled evaluations and decisions about assessment and treatment options considering both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family, or group.

* To undertake specialist psychological assessments of clients referred to the MBU based upon the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi- structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care.
