Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our client in their Specialist Eating Disorders private hospital. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will have experience and knowledge in carrying a service user’s caseload, including assessing complex needs and designing and delivering specialist psychological treatments to support their care plans.
Responsibilities:
* Participating in the assessment of referrals, and to provide initial assessment to service users referred to the service.
* Undertaking high quality direct (assessment & therapeutic) and indirect (consultative, advisory, and evaluative) specialist psychological interventions and making autonomous clinical decisions.
* Working therapeutically with service users with complex presentations, undertake the assessments using a broad range of structured psychometric and semi structured clinical methods.
* Formulating and implementing plans of specialist psychological treatment or management of patients’ mental health needs based on a multi-factorial psychological understanding and current evidence based best practise.
* Being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of clinical work and care.
* Maintaining high standards of care in all areas of practice and in accordance with the HCPC Code of Conduct, professional guidelines and Company Policies and Procedures.
Requirements:
* BPS recognised psychology degrees
* UK HCPC registration
* Chartered Psychologist status and appropriate post-graduate qualifications
* To be an approved supervisor within the guidelines of the BPS and relevant division
* To have an understanding of evidence-based psychological practice
* To have experience of applying psychological knowledge to a clinical setting
* To be experienced working with clients with cognitive deficits
* To have previous experience of conducting research and project working
