Clinical Lead (RGN/RMN) | Cardiff
£45,000 - £50,000 per annum
JCO Healthcare are delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established nursing home in Cardiff to recruit an experienced Clinical Lead.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate nurse leader to join the senior management team of a successful 58-bed nursing home, supporting the delivery of outstanding care and clinical excellence.
Working alongside a second Clinical Lead, you will provide clinical leadership across a 7-day service, supporting the Home Manager, mentoring the nursing team, and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently achieved.
The Role
As Clinical Lead, you will:
* Provide visible clinical leadership and support to nurses and care staff
* Work closely with the Home Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of the home
* Support medication management, clinical governance and quality assurance processes
* Coach, mentor and develop the nursing team
* Lead by example, promoting a positive culture focused on resident outcomes
* Ensure compliance with CIW and regulatory requirements
* Support audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives
The role offers a balanced approach between clinical and operational responsibilities, with:
* One clinical shift on the floor per week
* The remainder of your time being supernumerary
* Alternate weekend working
* Participation in the management and leadership of the service
About You
To be considered, you will ideally have:
* Current NMC registration (RGN or RMN)
* Experience working within a nursing home environment
* Previous experience as a Clinical Lead, Deputy Manager, Unit Manager or Senior Nurse
* Strong knowledge of clinical governance and regulatory compliance
* Excellent leadership, communication and people management skills
* A passion for delivering high-quality, person-centred care
