Clinical Application Specialist (Medical Diagnostic Equipment)

Job profile
A Japanese Global manufacturing company is looking for a Clinical Application Specialist, who will evaluate and verify their medical products in the clinical laboratory environment and will train and support healthcare professionals in using their top-of-the-line diagnostic systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide scientific and clinical application support in pre and post sales of their products.
* Organize and deliver product demonstrations and training sessions for customers and business partners.
* Ensure successful implementation of all products at clinical sites.
* Participate in internal/external clinical evaluations, validation and verification. Establish protocols and guidelines and prepare clinical evaluation reports to present data to customers.
* Develop and deliver effective presentations to attend and support medical congresses, conferences, exhibits, seminars and other occasions as requested by management.
* Improve and enhance customer satisfaction by communicating with customers proactively to identify customer needs and make the necessary actions to meet and exceed them.
* Handle customer feedback, complaints and escalation per company procedures and ensure timely and accurate resolution. Report all customer information and problems as well as opportunities to relevant teams.
* Assist customers in understanding matters related to the verification or validation of their products by ensuring they are in compliance with clinical laboratory regulations and accrediting agencies.
* Report feedback on overall customer experiences for post market surveillance to ensure compliance with local regulations.
* Assist the commercial organisation and regulatory teams with requests for information to support product sales including but not limited to tenders and product registration in the region.
* Support sales and marketing activities to promote their products and support field sales activities through demos, conferences, user group meetings and exhibitions.
* Maintain and expand a loyal network of KOL’s within the assigned territory.
* Perform other duties assigned or accepted as out of the guidelines.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences or other related fields.
* 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
* Professional experience in flow cytometry or urinalysis is an advantage.
* Professional experience with diabetes HPLC products is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to teach.
* Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Suite, Service Based Software, CRM, and EP Evaluator.
* Able to travel with access to a major airport. This position will require reasonable travel potentially 3 to 4 days per week within UK and Ireland region.
* Able to use English fluently.
* Valid driver’s license.
