We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Climate Change and Sustainability Project Officer to join a leading energy company on a temporary contract basis within Wandsworth area. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the organisation's commitment to addressing climate change and driving sustainable practises within the energy industry.

As the Climate Change and Sustainability Project Officer, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing initiatives to reduce the company's carbon footprint, promote energy efficiency, and implement sustainable practises across their operations. You will work closely with the sustainability team to design and deliver projects that align with the company's overall sustainability strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough research and analysis on climate change issues, trends, and regulatory requirements to support the development of sustainable practises and policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and implement sustainable energy solutions across various company operations.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented projects and initiatives, providing regular progress reports to stakeholders.
Engage with external stakeholders, such as government agencies, industry associations, and community organisations, to foster partnerships and share best practises.
Support the development and implementation of climate change adaptation and resilience plans.
Stay up to date with industry developments and emerging trends in climate change and sustainability.Skills and Experience:

A strong understanding of climate change, energy, and sustainability issues, including knowledge of relevant regulations and best practises.
Previous experience in project management, preferably within the energy sector.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with the capability to build effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
A passion for driving sustainable practises and a commitment to addressing climate change.
Knowledge of sustainable energy technologies and practises is desirable.
A degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a related field is preferred but not essential.This is a temporary position for a period of 12 weeks, offering a competitive hourly rate of £23.76.
