Description:

A leading institutional investor with a substantial and diverse property portfolio. They are dedicated to maintaining and enhancing the value of their assets through strategic management and innovative solutions. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a highly skilled Client-Side Building Surveyor to join the team. This role is critical in ensuring properties are maintained to the highest standards, supporting the long-term success of our investments.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of properties to assess condition, identify necessary repairs, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Maintenance Management: Develop and implement maintenance schedules and manage reactive maintenance tasks to ensure properties remain in optimal condition.
Project Management: Oversee refurbishment and renovation projects, from initial planning through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
Technical Advice: Provide expert technical advice on building issues, materials, and construction methods to internal stakeholders.
Compliance: Ensure all properties comply with relevant legislation, regulations, and company policies, including health and safety and environmental standards.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance and refurbishment projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions and value for money.
Reporting: Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, and project progress, providing regular reports to senior management.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, external contractors, and service providers to coordinate property management activities and projects. Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in building surveying or a similar role, preferably within an institutional investor or large property owner.
Professional Membership: MRICS or equivalent professional qualification.
Skills:
Strong technical knowledge of building construction, maintenance, and refurbishment.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Proficiency in building survey software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and negotiation skills. Personal Attributes:
