Description:
If you want to put your cleaning skills to use providing and maintaining safe, secure and warm places that people are proud to call home, then you are invited to apply for this 20 hours per week, 12-month fixed term contract Cleaning Operative role.
Your role will involve general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, mopping, wiping down surfaces, dusting and working with chemicals to clean stairwells, corridors, hallways, lifts, and washrooms, You will also clean communal bin areas (internal and external). You’ll be working by yourself or as part of a team, with an expectation to carry out this work to a high standard, and in line with our rigorous specification of work, and health and safety regulations.
You’ll make sure that our building receive the highest levels of service, learning from experience when things don’t always go to plan. We expect you to take responsibility for safeguarding; identifying and raising potential risks.
This role will allow for some flexibility. You will be working 20 hours per week.
Due to the nature of the role a DBS check will be completed for the successful applicant.
As a cleaning operative with us, we want you to have:
* Cleaning experience, industrial, commercial or household
* An understanding of health and safety, COSHH requirements
* Experience using specialist cleaning machinery and equipment (desirable but not essential)
* Basic IT knowledge and using mobile devices (training to be provided)
* Experience in a customer-facing environment
* The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
* Full, clean driving licence.
Your previous experience may be in roles as a cleaner, domestic cleaner, cleaning operative, commercial cleaner, amongst others.
