Description:

Class Teacher - All Saints’ Thurlestone C of E Academy (Learning Academy Partnership)
Full Time, 1.0 FTE
Salary: Main Teachers Pay Scale
The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for a class Teacher to join our Trust, based in our gorgeous village school, All Saints’ Thurlestone C of E Academy.
The post is fixed term until 31st December 2024.
Lying at the heart of our community, Thurlestone is set in extensive grounds, framed by the stunning backdrop of the coastline and surrounding villages. As a small school there is a real sense of community where we aim to ensure that all our children have the best start in life and can flourish in all they do; village residents and family members volunteer at our school, using their skills and talents to add to the curriculum provided by our dedicated team.
At All Saints’ Thurlestone we pride ourselves on providing every child with a rich and engaging curriculum grounded in our Christian values and fully rooted in our Christian values. Our vision is “Together we shine like stars reflected in the sea”; we want to ensure that every child will achieve the very best they can, fulfil their dreams and ambitions and shine in all they do! The outdoor environment is very much part of the daily curriculum where a wealth of natural resources makes learning exciting and awe-inspiring for all children.
Through working together as a Hub with our sister schools, Charleton and West Alvington, and as part of our wider Trust, both our children and colleagues benefit from opportunities sometimes only afforded to large schools such as extra-curricular activities and training. All of our schools are very successful and this is due to the dedication and expertise of an exceptional team of staff who are completely committed to improving opportunities for our children and removing barriers to learning.
We are looking for a class teacher to join our passionate team in the South Hams who can inspire our children and foster a love of learning. Our ideal candidate will be someone who is inspired by our mission and wants to be part of a Trust where everything begins and ends with children.
We encourage applications from people from all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the wider communities that we serve. We champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and a sense of belonging.
Our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs; we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish.
We can offer you:
* The opportunity to make a profound difference to children’s lives
* A culture that takes work-life balance extremely seriously for all its colleagues
* The chance to work as part of a collective in a values-led school Trust, a single organisation
* High quality professional development and regular training to develop your knowledge and skills
* A strong, proactive wellbeing network across the School Trust
* The potential for future career development
* Access to a 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme
* Trust benefit schemes
* Generous Teachers Pension Scheme
* An impactful People Strategy that enables us to nurture, develop and support our colleagues so that they can provide the very best for our children
All our schools are each at the centre of their local communities and celebrate their individuality and distinctiveness. A core feature in how we work as a School Trust is our collective approach in delivering an exceptional education for all children. We do this through working very closely together in mutual support and challenge to empower excellence for our children, families, and the communities that we serve.
In short, our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together.
