Permanent

Full Time

Salary: Main Teachers Pay Scale (SEN Allowance Opportunity)

Required for September 2024.

The Learning Academy Partnership has an exciting opportunity for two Class Teachers to join our Trust, based in St Michael’s C of E Academy.

St Michael’s opened in Paignton in September 2021 with nursery and reception places, and is increasing by one Year Group year-on-year until we have classes in every Year Group, from Nursery through to Year 6. Our Christian vision for our academy is:

‘The Future We Create Every Day’

We aim to provide a happy and nurturing environment where every child has the confidence to fulfil their hopes and aspirations. We value the incredible relationships we have with our local community; we work closely with our children and their families to foster relationships and offer high academic outcomes through a rich and engaging curriculum that is distinctive to the local community.

We are immensely proud of our School Trust – we live our vision by working collectively as a family of schools with a shared responsibility for all children. By working as a Hub and as part of the wider School Trust, we empower each other to deliver an exceptional curriculum offer that is fully rooted in our Christian values. We empower children with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to flourish, removing barriers to learning so every child, even the most vulnerable, can achieve their full potential.

We are also proud that we are a single organisation where professional development and growth is supported and celebrated, and one where you will feel professionally nourished through our extensive development practice and strong wellbeing offer. This is a great opportunity to be part of a wider team of teachers who develop practice and share expertise for the benefit of all children.

We have the following positions available:

* Permanent Year 3 Class Teacher (1.0 FTE)

* Permanent Nursery Class Teacher (1.0 FTE) - We are looking for a teacher to join our nursery who can inspire our youngest members of the school community (aged 2 - 4 years) and work as part of the whole school team

We also have an additional leadership opportunity for someone who can build, maintain and lead the development of our SEN provision. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about providing a provision that enables our children to be fully included in all aspects of their education, ensuring our most vulnerable and disadvantaged children can achieve their full potential. We would be happy to discuss the additional SEN opportunity at interview for either role, and the allowance that would reflect these responsibilities.

Regardless of where you are in your teaching journey, whether you are an Early Careers Teacher or an experienced Teacher, we would love to hear from you! We are committed to supporting the work-like balance of our colleagues and would be happy to discuss flexible working opportunities – please state your preferred hours on your application form.

We are dedicated to building an authentic workforce and we encourage applications from people from all backgrounds and aim to have a workforce that represents the wider communities that we serve. We champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing and aim to create a workplace where everyone feels valued and a sense of belonging.

Our School Trust is underpinned by our four core beliefs; we are stronger together, a sense of belonging; removing barriers and realising the possible. This means that by working collectively, we can achieve our absolute best to ensure that children, especially the most vulnerable, can flourish. Our ethos is one of working together to Empower, Excel, Together.

We can offer you:

* The opportunity to make a profound difference to children’s lives

* A culture that takes work-life balance extremely seriously for all its colleagues

* The chance to work as part of a collective in a values-led school Trust, a single organisation

* High quality professional development and regular training to develop your knowledge and skills
