Class 2 Registered Building Inspector (A-D or Above)
Location: West Midlands
Rate: Negotiable DOE
Contract Length: Initial 6 Months
Hours: Full Time
Carrington West are assisting a Local Authority in the West Midlands with their search for a Class 2 Registered Building Inspector (A-D or above) to join their Building Control team on an interim basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a registered professional to support a busy service, managing a varied caseload of projects while helping the authority maintain high standards of regulatory compliance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
·Carry out site inspections on a range of residential and commercial developments.
·Assess plans and building works for compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation.
·Provide technical advice to developers, architects, contractors, and members of the public.
·Prepare detailed inspection records and technical reports.
·Support the delivery of a high-quality Building Control service.
·Work in accordance with Building Safety Regulator requirements and professional standards.
·Liaise effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
·Registered Building Inspector status with the Building Safety Regulator.
·Class 2A-D registration or above.
·Previous Building Control experience within a Local Authority or Registered Building Control Approver environment.
·Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, Building Act legislation, and current industry requirements.
·Excellent communication and customer service skills.
·Full UK driving licence preferred.
