Class 2 HIAB Driver – Immediate Starts Available

Up to £24.63 per Hour | Temp to Perm | Weekly Pay | Immediate Starts

Freeway Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HIAB Drivers to join our client's busy building materials distribution operation. These are immediate start opportunities with permanent positions available after a successful 12-week qualifying period, subject to performance and business requirements.

Pay & Benefits

* £16.42 per hour PAYE

* Overtime paid at £24.63 per hour after 8.75 hours Monday to Friday

* Saturday rate: £24.63 per hour

* Weekly PAYE pay

* Immediate starts available

* Permanent positions available after 12 weeks

* Ongoing work with a well-established client

Working Pattern

Monday to Friday with rotational Saturdays

Working a 5-day / 6-day rotating pattern

Typical start time: 07:00

Finish approximately 16:00, depending on delivery schedules

About the Role

As a Class 2 HIAB Driver, you'll be delivering a range of building materials to both residential developments and commercial construction sites using an 18-tonne or 26-tonne HIAB vehicle.

This is a varied role requiring safe operation of remote-control HIAB equipment while maintaining excellent customer service and high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

* Operate 18-tonne and 26-tonne HIAB vehicles safely and efficiently

* Deliver building materials including:

* Bricks

* Blocks

* Aggregates

* Timber and board products

* Complete deliveries to domestic building sites and large commercial construction projects

* Operate remote-control HIAB equipment with a brick grab attachment

* Carry out daily vehicle safety checks

* Ensure loads are transported and delivered safely

* Complete all delivery paperwork accurately

* Deliver excellent customer service while representing both Freeway Recruitment and our client

* Work in line with Driver Hours and transport legislation

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

* A full UK Class 2 (Category C) Licence held for a minimum of 2 years

* At least 3 months recent HIAB driving experience

* Experience operating 26-tonne HIAB vehicles

* A valid Driver CPC qualification

* A valid Digital Tachograph Card

* A valid ALLMI Remote HIAB Brick Grab qualification

* AITT or RTITB HIAB accreditation will also be accepted during the peak period

* No more than 6 penalty points

* No DR, DD, IN or CD endorsements

* A professional, safety-conscious approach with excellent customer service skills
