Description:
Class 2 Driver – PM Shift
As a Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for collecting and transporting sanitary, nappy and other waste products from customer premises. This is a very demanding and physically demanding role, involving regular manual handling, walking to customer premises and moving waste bins.
Duties Include:
* Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle on allocated routes
* Collect sanitary, nappy and other waste from customer premises
* Move bins to the vehicle where required
* Complete approximately 20–30 customer collections per day, depending on the route
* Transport collected waste to the designated recycling centre
* Carry out regular manual handling duties
Please note: This is a very physically demanding role. Candidates must be comfortable handling and moving waste bins, including human waste, nappy waste and sanitary waste. The role involves significant walking and manual handling, so candidates must be physically fit and capable of carrying out these duties safely.
Requirements:
* Full UK Class 2 (LGV C) Driving Licence
* Minimum 2 years' Class 2 driving experience
* Full CPC qualification/modules intact
* Must be over 21 years old due to insurance requirements
* Previous waste collection experience desirable
* Previous manual handling experience desirable
* Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
Working Hours & Pay:
PM Shift – 1:00pm start
Monday to Friday – Ongoing Temporary Work
* £15.00 per hour – Standard Rate
* £15.30 per hour – Overtime Rate
* £15.75 per hour – Saturday Rate
* £21.00 per hour – Sunday Rate
Occasional weekend and Bank Holiday work may be required.
