Class 2 Driver

Description:

Drivers Direct Recruitment are looking to recruit a Class 2 Multidrop Driver on behalf of our clients to join their team in the Newcastle area.

Hours of work:

· Days 06:00 - 08:00 starts.

Salary:

· £13.00 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay)

The Role:

· Day Shifts.

· Tramping availble.

· Multi-drop delivery of palletised goods on HGV 2 vehicles.

· Delivering to businesses, residential addresses & building sites.

· Goods unloaded by pump truck or FLT, some handball may be required.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Carrying out relevant daily vehicle safety checks and reporting as per Operational Procedures.

· Ensure all delivery and collections are carried out in accordance with company procedures.

· To deliver & collect to customers in a safe and professional manner.

· To complete all work related paperwork in full and hand in at the end of the shift.

Essential Skills:

· Must hold a valid HGV 2 / Cat C licence for a minimum of 2 years.

· Must have at least 60 days’ worth of driving showing on digital tacho card.

· Must hold a valid driver qualification (CPC) card.

· Must hold a valid Digital tacho card.

· No more than 6 minor penalty points due to insurance stipulations.

· No DR’s, IN’s or DD’s offence codes due to insurance stipulations
