Class 2 Driver

Description:

Driver Hire Torbay are looking to recruit a Class 2 Driver for our client based in Newton Abbot, Devon, on a full time, temporary to permanent basis. This role is physically demanding, so you must be comfortable with lifting heavy products.

Job Overview:

Annual pay of £33,390.
Yearly Bonus.
Monday - Friday on a roster basis, with every third week working Tuesday to Saturday.
45 hours guaranteed pay, each week.Job requirements:

Excellent safety and driving practices.
Must have the correct licences for the class of vehicle.
Excellent communication skills.
Excellent Customer Service skills.Main duties:

Preparing the vehicle by conducting operator maintenance, ensuring all products for a delivery are correct and that they have been loaded onto the vehicle correctly and safely.
Completing delivery notes, return sheets and collecting payments. Must be happy using a PDA.
Complete any special requests from customers by picking up and delivering items as directed on the delivery note.
Maintain customer confidence by keeping information strictly confidential regarding premise security and operational information.
Checking the run sheets, and the picked orders for your deliveries and routing.
To plan your route and requirements for the drop by studying the schedule and any requests by the customer that are on the delivery note.
Make customers aware of any stock shortages or problems with their delivery.
Returning all empty kegs and gas bottles and making sure that they are correctly stored in the empties yard and unloaded in the correct manner.
Ensure that correct health and safety procedures are adhered to.
To complete all required checks and ensure that check sheets are passed to the distribution manager.
The ability to help in the warehouse when required.
To be presentable and in correct uniform at all times.
