Class 2 Driver / Surface Preparation Operative
The Best Connection are looking for a reliable Class 2 Driver / Surface Preparation Operative to safely deliver plant and materials while supporting surface preparation work on-site.
???? Pay Rates
£18.50 per hour (Monday to Friday)
⏱️ Minimum 10 hours paid per shift
???? Weekend overtime paid at time and a half
???? Key Responsibilities
???? Operate a Class 2 vehicle and hookloader to transport plant and machinery
✅ Carry out daily vehicle checks and follow road safety regulations
???? Assist with site preparation, including cleaning and setup
???? Load/unload equipment and support the site team
✅ Requirements
???? Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence, CPC, and digital tachograph
????️ Commercial driving experience (surfacing preferred)
????️ Ability to use plant/tools (bobcat sweeper desirable)
???? Flexible, organised, and physically fit with good communication skills
