All about the role
We are looking for an experienced Driver to do Class 2 work. The role is a multi-drop role, carrying out driving & related duties involved with the carriage of steel goods out of A H Allen Steelstock Limited, Swadlincote, DE11 9EU 
This role is 42.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday with as overtime, if required. 
Specific tasks include:

To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises and delivering excellent Customer Service.
Ensuring Proof of Delivery documents are signed, dated & returned without delay.
To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated in a safe manner.
Supporting the warehouse staff as and when necessary.
Adhering to exacting health and safety standards at all times

You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way; always ensuring a high level of customer service and the ability to build on existing business whilst successfully developing new.
Essential Skills for the role 

Experience & knowledge of steel handling is highly desirable & also experience of making multi drop deliveries 
To hold a valid HGV Class 2 Licence (with no more than 6 points).
Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card with knowledge of working time directive.
Good attention to detail & customer service skills.
