HGV Class 1 Driver - Shunter
Wolverhampton | £17 - £20 per hour | Ongoing | Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is urgently recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers for a busy trunking operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for drivers seeking regular work, competitive pay, and long-term opportunities within a modern logistics environment.
Start times are 07:00 daily, working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
Key Duties:
Safely operate yard shunter vehicles.
Carry out safe coupling and uncoupling of trailers.
Monitor and report vehicle damage.
Perform regular tyre checks.
Ensure fridges are running correctly and electrical connections are secure.
Maintain vehicle wash and refuelling areas.
Collect and return vehicles for servicing when required.
Follow all site health and safety procedures.
Requirements:
Valid HGV Class 1 (Cat CE) licence.
Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
Previous shunting experience preferred, although training can be provided.
Strong work ethic and reliable timekeeping.
Ability to work independently and safely within a busy yard environment.
