As their business continues to grow, we are looking for a dedicated and skilled 5 Class 1 HGV Driver to join their team. If you have experience with HIAB operations, that's a bonus, but it’s not essential.
Job Description
As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to various locations. Your main duties will include:
* Operating Class 1 vehicles in compliance with all road and safety regulations.
* Ensuring the secure loading and unloading of goods.
* Completing delivery paperwork accurately and promptly.
* Maintaining your vehicle to high standards, including performing routine checks.
* Providing excellent customer service during all deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
* Transport goods to and from specified locations.
* Adhere to all driving laws and regulations.
* Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
* Communicate effectively with the transport office and clients.
* Assist with loading and unloading, using HIAB equipment if qualified.
Requirements
* Valid Class 1 HGV licence.
* CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
* Digital Tachograph Card.
* HIAB certification preferred but not essential; training can be provided.
* Minimum of 6 months Class 1 driving experience.
* Strong understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
