Manpower is recruiting Class 1 (C+E) ADR Drivers on behalf of a leading logistics and transportation company based in Rochester.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with a nationally recognised logistics provider specialising in the safe transportation of bulk gases across the UK. If you're an experienced ADR Driver-or a newly qualified driver with the right attitude and commitment to safety-we want to hear from you.
The Role
As a Class 1 ADR Driver, you will be responsible for transporting bulk gas products between customer sites and distribution locations nationwide.
This is primarily a trunking role involving long-distance driving, night starts, and occasional nights away, with a strong focus on safety, compliance, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Operating Class 1 (C+E) tanker vehicles safely and efficiently
Transporting bulk gas products throughout the UK
Completing trunking runs between customer and depot locations
Managing ADR loads in full compliance with regulations
Operating tanker discharge systems where required
Conducting daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
Completing delivery documentation and electronic POD systems
Following all PPE, health & safety, and company procedures
Maintaining communication with transport and planning teams
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
✅ Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
✅ Valid ADR Licence including Tanks
✅ Driver CPC Qualification
✅ Digital Tachograph Card
✅ Good understanding of UK driving regulations
✅ Professional and safety-focused approach
Preferred Experience
Previous ADR tanker driving experience
2+ years of Class 1 driving experience
Experience transporting hazardous goodsNewly qualified ADR drivers are encouraged to apply. Full support and ongoing development are available for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and commitment.
Licence Criteria
Maximum 6 penalty points
No DD, DR, CD or IN endorsements
