Role: HGV Class 1 Driver

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers to work with a reputable and well-established supermarket distribution operation based in Sittingbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Class 1 drivers looking for regular, flexible work with a professional and supportive transport team.
The role involves supermarket delivery driving, transporting goods from the depot to stores and distribution centres across the local area and surrounding counties. This is clean, organised work with a well-known supermarket network, making it a great option for drivers who enjoy structured routes and reliable shift patterns.
What will you do in a typical day?
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, your main responsibility will be to complete supermarket deliveries safely, efficiently and on time. You will be delivering chilled, ambient or general supermarket products to stores and distribution centres, depending on the route and daily requirements.
A typical shift will usually involve around two runs per day, although this may vary depending on delivery locations, traffic and operational needs.
This is generally straightforward supermarket delivery work and is often a pleasant role with minimal interaction with the load. You will be working as part of a busy transport operation where safety, reliability and good communication are key.
Key duties include:
Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle to deliver supermarket goods to stores and distribution centres.
Completing approximately two runs per shift.
Carrying out daily vehicle checks before and after your shift.
Following delivery schedules and planned routes.
Communicating with the transport office regarding any delays or issues.
What shifts are available?
Drivers can choose the days they want to work, with shifts available across all seven days of the week. This gives you the flexibility to work around your availability, whether you are looking for regular full-time work, weekend shifts or additional driving days.
AM, PM and night shifts are available. Drivers must be flexible with start times, as supermarket delivery work can vary depending on route requirements and depot schedules.
