Class 1 Driver - Ongoing Work - Skelmersdale
We are currently recruiting Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for ongoing work based in Skelmersdale. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and dynamic transport operation specialising in secondary distribution, with regular work and consistent shift patterns available.
Pay Rates
AM Starts (03:00 - 08:00)
£20.00 per hour
£22.42 per hour including holiday pay
PM Starts (15:00 - 20:00)
£22.00 per hour
£24.66 per hour including holiday pay
Shift Patterns Available
4 on 4 off
5 on 3 off
The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for completing store deliveries, ensuring goods are delivered safely, efficiently and professionally.
Key duties include:
Delivering roller-caged goods to customer locations
Loading and unloading using tail lifts
Completing daily vehicle checks in line with company procedures
Accurately completing delivery paperwork and reporting defects
Maintaining communication with the transport team throughout your shift
Representing the business professionally at customer sites
What We're Looking For
Applicants must:
Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence
Hold a valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
Have a minimum of 12 months' Class 1 driving experience
Have a sound understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations
Be flexible to cover both store deliveries and trunking work when required
