We are currently working with a reputable transport company based in Middleton, who are looking for Class 1 drivers to join their team.

Job Role: Class 1 Driver - You will be making collections & deliveries between various sites and customers nationwide. Deliveries and collections may involve trailer swaps or having your trailer live unloaded and reloaded, depending on individual customer needs. Box units and Curtain Siders, Trunking. 

Between 04:00 & 06:00 start time on Days,

Between 16:00 & 18:00 start time on Nights. 

Min 8 hrs guaranteed. Average 10-12 hours of work, flexibility is required. 

As a HGV Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for:

Driving a HGV Class 1 vehicle safely and efficiently
Trunking goods from Middleton to various locations in the UK
Following the company’s policies and procedures
Completing all relevant paperwork and checks
Communicating with the transport office and customers

To be eligible for this role, you must have:

A valid HGV Class 1 licence 
A valid CPC and Digi card
A minimum of 12 months experience as a HGV Class 1 driver
A good knowledge of UK roads and routes
A flexible and reliable attitude
A good level of English

PAYE Class 1 Driver pay rates:

DAYS £17.15 p/h, (£15.30 per hour+ hol accrual) 
NIGHTS £18.16 p/h, (£16.20 per hour+ hol accrual) 
SATURDAY £18.83 p/h, (£16.80 per hour+ hol accrual) 
SUNDAY £20.06 p/h, (£17.90 per hour+ hol accrual) 

Suitable Applicant Requirements:

Must hold a valid CAT CE licence.
Must hold a valid CPC Card.
Must hold a valid Digital Tacho-graph Card.
No more than 6 points on your licence.
No IN10, DR10, MS10, TS10, TT99 or DR10.
Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience. 
No LTD drivers can be used.
