We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class 1 container driver to our clients well established transportation team. As a Class 1 container driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of containers to various destinations. You will play a key role in ensuring that our customers' goods are delivered in a timely and secure manner.
Responsibilities
* Safely and efficiently transport containers to designated locations
* Ensure that loads are properly secured and meet all safety regulations
* Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
* Maintain accurate records of daily trips, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays
* Communicate with dispatchers to receive instructions and update them on your progress
* Plan routes to optimize delivery times and minimize fuel consumption
* Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating company vehicles
Requirements
* Valid Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
* Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Class 1 driver, preferably in container transportation
* Knowledge of container loading, securing, and transportation procedures
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure
* Flexibility to work long hours and weekends as needed
* Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair is an asset
