Civil Design Engineer - Infrastructure
Location: Nottingham
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

I'm working with an employee-owned infrastructure consultancy in Nottingham that is looking to recruit a Civil Design Engineer to join its growing Infrastructure Design team.

Working closely with residential and commercial developers, the consultancy delivers a varied portfolio of projects, from initial feasibility and planning through to detailed design and construction.

Following its transition to employee ownership at the end of 2025, the business has ambitious plans to double in size over the next three to four years, offering an excellent opportunity to join a growing consultancy with genuine opportunities for career progression.

The Role

Deliver civil infrastructure design across a varied portfolio of development projects.
Contribute to projects from initial concepts and feasibility through to detailed design and construction.
Work on residential, commercial, industrial, education and mixed-use developments.
Collaborate with colleagues across infrastructure design, transport planning and water management.
Liaise with clients and other design professionals to develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
Take on increasing technical and project responsibility as your experience develops.
Requirements

Experience in civil engineering design within a consultancy environment.
Knowledge of infrastructure design for development projects.
Strong technical ability and a solutions-focused approach.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
A proactive attitude towards professional development and career progression.
What's on Offer?

Join an employee-owned consultancy where staff have a stake in the success of the business.
A varied workload working with established residential and commercial developers.
Clear opportunities for career progression as the business continues to grow.
Hybrid working, with up to two days per week from home.
28 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
8% employer pension contributions.
Life assurance at four times annual salary.
NHS cash plan and Employee Assistance Programme.
Cycle-to-work scheme, training and professional development support.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Design Engineer looking to develop their technical skills, gain exposure to a diverse range of development projects and progress their career within an ambitious, employee-owned consultancy.
