Construction Recruitment Group are recruiting. Our client have been established in 1994, and is one of the fastest-growing utility engineering contractors in the UK, with a successful track record in delivering engineering solutions for leading blue-chip power, water, telecoms, and rail clients.
Responsibilities:
* Create and coordinate conceptual engineering drawings using CAD packages.
* Develop project plans, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, and timelines.
* Ensure projects comply with codes, regulations, and standards; obtain necessary permits.
* Conduct site visits to assess progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
* Work closely with designers and other professionals to integrate project elements.
* Monitor project budgets and costs, addressing deviations from the original plan.
* Identify and mitigate potential project risks and challenges.
* Oversee design progress and manage sub-consultants and contractors.
* Identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency, and business improvement.
* Ensure all safety, quality, technical, and commercial requirements are met.
* Support the entire project lifecycle from client engagement to project handover.
Requirements:
* Degree in civil engineering or related field.
* Proficiency in engineering software and tools (Civil 3D, Telka TEDDS, CityEngine, CAD).
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
* Knowledge of applicable policies, standards, and legislation.
* Experience in railway/energy infrastructure management or similar safety-critical environments.
* Excellent time management, self-reliance, resourcefulness, and initiative.
