C&I Design Engineer – Contract (Inside IR35) – up to £65ph – Manchester - Hybrid
About the Role
The client is seeking an experienced C&I Engineer to join its Manchester-based team, supporting a range of projects across highly regulated sectors including Life Sciences, Nuclear and Defence.
The successful candidate will work across projects in the Northwest, undertaking a broad range of Control & Instrumentation activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver complete C&I engineering packages across projects within highly regulated sectors.
* Produce and review C&I design documentation.
* Provide technical input across multidisciplinary project teams.
* Take ownership of assigned engineering packages and deliver them independently.
* Liaise with engineers, designers, clients and other project stakeholders as required.
* Support project delivery across Life Sciences, Nuclear and Defence environments.
* Attend regular client and project site visits across the Northwest.
Essential Experience & Requirements
* Significant experience delivering a full C&I package on projects within highly regulated sectors.
* Experience across the C&I project lifecycle, from feasibility through to commissioning.
* Willingness and ability to undertake regular site visits.
* Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC).
* Functional Safety Certificate or experience needed.
Working Arrangement
* hybrid working - between 60% and 80% working from home arrangements.
* Occasional travel to client/project sites across the Northwest
