Description:

Play a Key Role in Delivering the Safe Commissioning of Major UK Infrastructure Projects!

Our Client has a requirement for a CI & BOP Commissioning Engineer, who will be required to work on a permanent basis in Somerset.

Role Purpose:

Support the delivery of commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle, combining technical engineering expertise with project delivery skills.
Contribute to planning and preparation activities, including the review of contractor-produced commissioning documentation.
Execute commissioning tests, conduct surveillance of contractor-led activities and analyse results to support safe entry into commercial operation.
Deliver test specifications and safety documentation in preparation for commissioning activities.
Ensure commissioning deliverables are provided on time and in accordance with project requirements.
Job Role Responsibilities:

Accountable to a Commissioning Manager within the project team.
Develop commissioning documentation and review contractor-produced documentation relating to commissioning testing.
Contribute to detailed planning and take ownership of a programme of tests.
Take part in or lead the execution of site commissioning activities.
Supervise contractor personnel where required to achieve the safe commissioning of systems.
Perform site testing safely and effectively.
Assist with the analysis of commissioning results and resolve problems as they arise.
Provide information to support the Commissioning Manager in meeting project objectives and milestones.
Analyse commissioning results and provide reports on the outcome of tests.
Ensure deliverables supporting commissioning activities are provided on time and in accordance with project requirements.
Provide support to contract partners and participate in contractual review and acceptance activities.
Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

Strong technical knowledge of Mechanical & Process Systems.
Strong technical engineering skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills and the ability to convey complex information to others.
Able to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate closely with contractors.
Delivery focused, with either a proven track record of delivery or a strong delivery mindset.
Demonstrable history of working within safety and quality cultures.
Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline.
