Make a Lasting Difference

Are you passionate about helping children and young people overcome challenges and achieve their full potential?

We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and committed Residential Support Workers to join a specialist children's home in Leyland supporting young people aged 6 to 16 with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). Many of the young people we support have experienced trauma, adversity, and disrupted attachments, and need caring adults who can provide stability, consistency, and positive role modelling.

This is a challenging yet highly rewarding role where every day provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to a young person's future.

Additional Responsibilities

* Support children and young people with EBD and complex emotional needs.

* Use therapeutic and trauma-informed approaches to build positive relationships.

* Manage challenging behaviours safely and effectively using de-escalation techniques.

* Assist young people in developing emotional regulation and coping strategies.

* Promote positive routines, boundaries, and expectations within the home.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

* Has experience working with children and young people in residential care, education, youth work, or similar settings.

* Has experience supporting children with EBD, SEMH needs, trauma, or challenging behaviours.

* Demonstrates resilience, emotional intelligence, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.

* Understands trauma-informed and child-centred approaches to care.

* Holds a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care, or is willing to work towards one.

* Holds a full UK driving licence.
