Busy Bee Recruitment are currently working with an excellent specialist Residential Childcare company who provide residential living facilities alongside SEN schooling for young people with learning difficulties and complex health needs. We currently have some fantastic opportunities for fun, energetic and committed people to join their team as Children’s Support Worker’s at their specialist LD Children’s Home based near to Thatcham.

As Children’s Support Worker for their specialist 3 bed home, you will be assisting the young people on a daily basis with all aspects of home and school life. You will be providing exceptional levels of care during all activities from washing and dressing in the morning to therapy sessions during the day to bedtime routines in the evening.

You will be responsible for a variety of duties around the home but the main duties will include:

* Ensuring care plans for young people are delivered effectively

* Working closely with young people to enable them to address their difficulties and achieve their optimum potential

* Attend to young people’s practical, physical and emotional needs including personal care

* Completing written reports and documentation daily

* Liaison with families, schools and other health professionals

* Work shift patterns including alternate weekends

Supporting some amazing young people, you could be assisting them with some exciting activities in the local community allowing them to fulfil their independence. Shift times run between 7:00am and 22:00pm for day shifts and 21:45pm-07:15am for night shifts.

The successful Support Worker will be someone who is passionate about caring for others and assisting them to grow and develop. They should be committed to always providing outstanding levels of care and work towards this through empowering and promoting positivity throughout the home.

In return for this excellent opportunity, our client can offer a competitive salary between £22,000 and £24,000 per annum dependent on experience, competencies and qualifications. The client offer an attractive package with benefits as listed below:
