Description:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Conducting thorough assessments to diagnose and identify speech and language disorders in children.
* Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans based on assessment findings and in accordance with relevant guidelines and protocols.
* Providing face-to-face therapy sessions for children, employing evidence-based techniques to enhance communication skills.
* Collaborating closely with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to set and achieve therapy goals.
* Monitoring and documenting progress, adjusting therapy plans as required.
* Offering guidance and support to parents/caregivers, providing strategies for home-based practice.
* Staying ahead of current research and developments in the field of speech and language therapy.
* Attending team meetings, case conferences, and training sessions as necessary.
* Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements:
* Degree in Speech and Languuage Therapy.
* Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) or equivalent professional body.
* Proven experience in delivering speech and language therapy to children.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to establish positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of clients.
