Experienced Social Worker – Children’s Social Care
Are you an experienced Social Worker looking for your next opportunity within Children’s Social Care?
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join a Local Authority Children’s Social Care service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and experienced practitioner who is able to manage a varied caseload independently, assess and manage risk effectively, and adapt their approach when working with complex or unusual cases.
About the Role
As an Experienced Social Worker, you will be responsible for independently managing cases and working with children, young people and families to achieve positive outcomes.
You will be expected to:
Manage an independent caseload within Children’s Social Care.
Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate plans.
Assess and manage risk effectively.
Work confidently with complex and challenging situations.
Use professional judgement and adapt your approach based on individual circumstances.
Work collaboratively with children, families, colleagues and partner agencies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
Apply relevant legislation, policies and professional standards to your practice.
About You
We are looking for an experienced practitioner who can demonstrate:
Experience working directly within Local Authority Children’s Social Care.
The ability to manage cases independently.
Strong assessment, analytical and decision-making skills.
Confidence in managing risk and safeguarding concerns.
The ability to adapt your practice and think creatively when faced with complex or unusual cases.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
A commitment to achieving positive outcomes for children and families.
A minimum of 3 years’ direct employment experience within Local Authority Children’s Social Care is required for this role.
