Job Title: Children's Residential Support Worker

Location: Derbyshire, UK

Salary: £23,800 per annum

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Shift Pattern: 24-hour shifts, 1 day on, 2 days off)

About Us:

P4 Recruitment are working together with a care provider who are dedicated to provide exceptional care and support to children and young people. Their ethos is to seek and inspire young people through support, guidance and care. They are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Children Residential Support Worker to join our team in Derbyshire.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our residential home, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in the residential home.

* Develop and maintain positive relationships with the children, creating a safe and nurturing environment.

* Assist with the development and implementation of personalised care plans.

* Support children with their educational, social, and emotional needs.

* Manage challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner.

* Work collaboratively with colleagues, external agencies, and families to support the children's best interests.

* Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

* Participate in team meetings, training, and continuous professional development.

Requirements:

* NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.

* A full British driving licence for a manual car.

* Previous experience working with children and young people in a residential setting is desirable.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

* Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children.

* Flexibility to work on a shift pattern, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
