Registered Manager

New Therapeutic Children's Home | Poole

Outstanding Earning Potential of Up To £85K Package DOE

JCO Healthcare is proud to be supporting an exciting new children's residential provider with the appointment of a Registered Manager for their latest therapeutic children's home in Poole.

This is far more than a traditional Registered Manager vacancy; this is an opportunity to take ownership of a brand-new service, work alongside highly experienced childcare professionals, and build a home where children and young people can experience stability, therapeutic support, and life-changing outcomes.

Backed by a Responsible Individual and Director with over 35 years of specialist childcare experience, you will have the autonomy, support, and resources needed to create an exceptional service from the ground up.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious, child-focused leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and achieving the very best outcomes for young people.

As Registered Manager, you will lead all aspects of the service, from registration through to operational delivery, team development, compliance, and ultimately driving the home towards Outstanding.

This role would suit an established Registered Manager seeking a fresh challenge, or an experienced Deputy Manager who meets Regulation 28 requirements and is ready to take the next step into registration.

Exceptional Remuneration Package

* Basic salary dependent upon experience, circa £55 - £65K

* Up to £20K annual bonus

* 35 days annual leave (including bank holidays)

* Pension scheme

* Genuine career progression as the organisation expands

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and develop a therapeutic children's home focused on achieving exceptional outcomes.

* Ensure full compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding requirements.

* Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing staff team.

* Drive a positive and therapeutic culture throughout the home.

* Build strong partnerships with local authorities, commissioners, families, and external professionals.

* Manage budgets, occupancy, staffing, and operational performance.

* Lead the service through Ofsted registration and future inspections.

* Continually strive for excellence and Outstanding outcomes.

About You

To be considered, applicants must:

* Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.

* Hold (or be working towards where appropriate) the qualifications required under Regulation 28.

* Have a minimum of two years' management experience within a residential children's home setting within the last five years.

* Possess strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards.

* Demonstrate a successful track record of leadership, compliance, and achieving positive outcomes.

* Be committed to safeguarding and improving the lives of children and young people.

Why Apply

* Opportunities to join a provider at such an early stage are rare.

* You will be joining an organisation whose focus is not simply filling beds, but creating a therapeutic environment where children feel safe, valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.

* If you are looking for a position where you can genuinely shape a service, develop a team, and leave a lasting legacy on the lives of young people, we would be delighted to speak with you.
