Job Title: Social Worker - Children Look After
**Location:** Middlesborough
£32 - £41 per hour
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Worker to join our Children Look After Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child welfare and a commitment to providing a nurturing and supportive environment for children who are in the care of our organization.
Responsibilities:
Case Management: Provide comprehensive and individualized case management for children in the care system, ensuring their safety, well-being, and developmental needs are met.
Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of children's needs and formulate effective care plans in collaboration with the child, their family, and relevant stakeholders.
Placement Support: Work closely with foster families, group homes, and other care providers to ensure a stable and supportive living environment for children.
Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and best interests of children in legal and administrative proceedings, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, healthcare professionals, and external agencies, to provide holistic support for children in care.
Crisis Intervention: Respond to crises promptly, providing emotional support and coordinating appropriate interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of children.Qualifications:
Degree in Social Work.
State licensure as a Social Worker.
Experience in child welfare and working with children in care.
Knowledge of relevant child protection laws and regulations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, resilience, and a commitment to advocating for vulnerable children.
