Key Responsibilities
Provide compassionate, tailored care to young people facing severe emotional, social, and behavioural challenges.
Apply de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed principles to navigate deregulated behaviour safely and effectively.
Foster resilience and independence by supporting service users with routine activities, personal development, and local community integration.
Maintain flawless daily records and incident reports while upholding rigorous personal and professional boundaries.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary partners, family networks, and care teams to ensure a unified circle of support.
Essential Requirements
Proven Background: At least 2 years of direct experience supporting children or young people with high support needs in crisis or residential settings.
Crisis Management: Demonstrated capability in applying proactive de-escalation techniques and making safe decisions under pressure.
Compliance: Active PVG scheme membership (or readiness to register).
Driving Capabilities: A full UK driving licence with business insurance is preferred.
Core Strengths: Excellent communication, sound practical judgement, and creative engagement strategies.
