Chief Information Security Officer, Marine Insurance, £90-130k, City of London.
We are looking to recruit a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for a specialist marine insurance business based in The City of London. The business has around 300 employees and provides insurance products aimed at leisure and commercial marine markets.
The newly-created role of Chief Information Security Officer reports into the Chief Executive Officer, and will be responsible for taking the company’s information security and cyber security vision forward.
The Chief Information Security Officer will determine appropriate IT and cyber security solutions to meet the needs of the business, working within the agreed risk appetite.
The Chief Information Security Officer will:
· Own, maintain and enhance the current IT operations of the business in relation to InfoSec. The CISO will seek to promote best practice technical and regulatory standards.
· Own, maintain, and improve corporate IT, InfoSec and Cyber Security best practices.
· Manage in-house software platform architecture, development, and maintenance. Additionally, maintain the corporate Disaster Recovery posture, and oversight of business continuity provision.
· Information security and cyber security vendor management.
· Delivering software and IT change, meeting Cybersecurity and InfoSec requirements.
· Oversee architecture, development and maintenance of in-house software platforms from an InfoSec perspective.
· Managing the IT supplier and vendor base in relation to InfoSec & Cyber Security.
· Delivering software and IT change activities, responding to InfoSec requirements.
· Managing InfoSec and Cyber Security staff.
This is a really interesting and challenging CISO role within a niche insurance sector business which is enjoying a period of expansion and success.
