Chief Engineer
Edinburgh
The Chief Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining the hotel and spa facility, ensuring legal compliance, safety, and budgetary goals.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Oversee daily engineering operations.
- Coordinate Capital Projects and ensure compliance with building regulations.
- Plan and monitor projects, manage budgets, and communicate with stakeholders.
- Implement and update Standard Operating Procedures.
- Design and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
- Conduct fire safety inspections and manage the hotel's energy program.
- Hire, train, supervise, and discipline engineering staff.
- Ensure completion of daily work orders and maintain training documentation.
**Qualifications:**
- HND/HNC in Engineering or Electrical.
- Professional qualifications in Engineering or Electrical vocation.
- Prince 2 project management, Pool Plant Operators course, and NEBOSH certificate.
- 5-7 years in a managerial capacity in a major hotel, hospital, or building.
- Experience managing facility services and subcontractors.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Compliance.
