Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday

The role of a Mobile Hazardous Waste Chempac Chemist involves the technical assessment, segregation, packing, listing and labelling of clients waste, on client site and were applicable transport the waste to our Preston transfer station for onwards shipping to final disposal points. As such it is important that a Mobile Hazardous Waste Chempac Chemist operates in a safe manner, with a good understanding of waste legislation and compliance

What you'll be doing;

To collect wastes from customer sites and ensure the safe

To list, package and label wastes and assess drums and their contents at customer premises

To pump, decant and re-drum rusty or leaking containers

Assessment of new enquiries and provide technical knowledge to customers/company employees

To assist when needed at a transfer station

Supervision of dangerous loads and sampling of wastes

Maintain adequate stock levels of routine supplies

Accurate completion of all documentation and quick processing of all paperwork to facilitate customer expectations

Other duties as assigned by management

What we're looking for;

A science-based degree of HND or equivalent qualification ideally in Chemistry

Knowledge and/or experience of hazardous waste

It is preferable for candidates to also have COSHH and health and safety understanding

As the role is mobile, candidates must hold a valid driving licence, and be comfortable driving a 3.5t van

Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers are essential.
