A rare opportunity to join a well-known chemical products company as Chemical Regulatory Affairs Manager. We are looking for previous chemical regulatory experience, ideally some leadership/supervision, excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate the complex word of chemical regulations in an accessible manner to a mixed audience of commercial, and technical colleagues.
Focussing on the EU, you will oversee the compliance of a portfolio of formulated detergent, cosmetic and biocide products. Key duties include coordinating regulatory compliance, chemical management, regulatory horizon scanning, accessing the impact of regulatory changes on the business, management of the SDS system, participation in industry groups, leading and managing a small team of regulatory officers and specialists, and active communication upwards and across the business, further embedding the regulatory department into the wider company. We need a communicator, a leader and someone who can set the future path for the products and the regulatory systems.
Candidates must have existing chemical regulatory experience in any formulated chemical products; you must have strong hazard communication knowledge and experience of using SDS software; part of this role will involve management of the SDS system including configuration and optimisation to suit the team’s needs. Any knowledge of detergent, cosmetic or biocide regulations would be useful but not essential. Ideally you will have supervisory / team leading experience, or as a minimum be looking to do this. You must be a confident communicator able to explain complex regulatory issues to mixed audiences.
