Working Hours: Site open Monday to Sunday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM (Hours can be over 4 or 5 working days and our client will consider part – time or full - time candidates)

Our client is a family run establishment in the Fylde, Lancashire area, renowned for their commitment to quality and sustainability. Our client prides themselves on serving homemade fresh food, with ingredients sourced directly from their own grounds.

They offer a diverse menu that includes breakfast, lunch, and main meals, all crafted with the freshest produce and on-site hand-reared meats.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in preparing and cooking homemade dishes, with a focus on using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of the kitchen, ensuring that every dish meets quality and presentation standards.

Responsibilities:

* Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations and management.

* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes including breakfast, lunch, and main meals.

* Oversee kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and effective operation during service hours.

* Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.

* Contribute to menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal and homegrown ingredients.

* Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring freshness and minimising waste.

* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.

* Ensure that all food preparation and presentation meets quality standards.

* Collaborate with the Head Chef & Sous Chef to develop and implement new recipes and cooking techniques.

* Uphold the sustainability practices of the establishment by utilising homegrown vegetables and hand-reared meats.

Requirements:

* Proven Chef experience, in a restaurant or culinary establishment.

* Strong understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

* Excellent communication and leadership skills.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

* Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

* Ability to work well in a team and foster a positive work environment.

* Flexibility to adapt to changing menus and special dietary requirements.
