Berry Recruitment are recruiting for a Chef on behalf of a busy hospitality venue in Fowey. This is a seasonal position with an immediate start, offering the chance to secure a permanent role for the right candidate.
Working within a high-volume kitchen, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food during busy service periods, helping to deliver a smooth operation serving approximately (Apply online only) covers per day.
Duties & Responsibilities
Preparing, cooking and presenting meals to the required standard
Managing food preparation and service during busy periods
Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures at all times
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen
Monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages when required
Working independently during quieter periods as well as alongside the wider team
Requirements
Previous experience working as a Chef in a commercial kitchen
Good knowledge of food hygiene and allergen awareness
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable working under pressure during busy service periods
Able to work independently and manage workload efficiently
Flexible approach to working hours, including split shifts

Immediate start available
Split shifts are a requirement of the role
Small working trial will form part of the recruitment process
Due to the seasonal demands of the business, annual leave cannot be taken during the contract period
