We here at Siamo Recruitment are pleased to present that we’re working with a unique and well-reviewed café/restaurant. The highly acclaimed café has previously been ranked as one of the top 10 places to eat in the Cirencester area and they’re looking for a new chef to keep up the image.
With a lot of traffic coming through, especially throughout the summer, we’re looking for a chef who thrives in a face paced environment and is happy to take charge and provide encouragement and motivation to those working around them.

What will your responsibilities be as the chef?
Cooking - using grills, ovens, fryers and more
Leading food preparation - first preparing for breakfast and then for lunch, daily
Ensuring each workstation is kept to high cleanliness and hygiene standards, cleaning the kitchen at the end of every shift
Calling orders for other kitchen staff and assigning duties to a team of 2-4.
Managing inventory and placing regular orders
Plating and presenting food ready to be sent out
Keeping safety in mind at all times, ensuring slip or trip risks, are removed; making sure anything sharp, hot, or heavy is stored and used properly
What qualities are ideal in a chef?
Experience leading a team, prepping and cooking food in a commercial kitchen is necessary
Ability to work under pressure
Excellent time management and organization
Knowledge of food safety standards
Team player with good communication
Attention to detail and presentation
Driving License (accessing this location is not possible via public transport)
Experience working in a fast paced environment will be very beneficial
Working hours are 09:00-17:00
On the fringes of Cirencester, this role is not even a 10-minute commute from Cirencester, South Cerney, Tetbury, and Malmesbury
