The Manchester College has many Campus locations across Greater Manchester, each with its own specialist cutting-edge facilities within a friendly and supportive environment. We are the largest Further Education College in the UK providing education and training to a wide range of learners.

We now have an exciting opportunity at our Shena Simon Campus to join us as a Chef on a permanent, full time (35 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 8am - 3.30pm) term time only basis.

As directed by the Manager or Catering Supervisor, to produce to the highest standards fresh food preparation from a range of menu options and hospitality food provision, ensuring that all budget, quality, and operational targets are achieved and be a point of contact for other staff members, in line with College policies and procedures. Support and train all catering staff in the delivery of a quality provision and customer focused service.

The completion of all HACCP documentation in line with legal requirements.

In order to do this, you will need:

Possession of NVQ level 2 or relevant qualification
Working knowledge of varied and large-scale catering operations
Experience of fresh food preparation, menus from a range of different nationalities
A track record of achievement of targets
