Chartered Structural Engineer
Vickerstock are working with an established engineering consultancy to recruit a Chartered Structural Engineer to join their Coventry office.
This role is for an experienced, chartered engineer who wants to take genuine technical ownership of projects, working within a consultancy that backs its people with a strong, well-rounded benefits package.

Your new role as Chartered Structural Engineer
Responsibilities will include:
* Leading the structural design of projects, including analysis, calculations and design development
* Producing, checking and approving calculations, drawings and specifications
* Coordinating with architects, other engineering disciplines and the wider design team
* Acting as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout the project
* Carrying out site visits and inspections as required
* Reviewing the work of other engineers and providing technical guidance
* Supporting and mentoring graduate and junior engineers
* Contributing to fee proposals and project planning
What you will need to succeed
* Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
* Chartered status with the IStructE or ICE
* Strong experience in structural design within a consultancy environment
* Confidence using relevant structural analysis and design software
* Good knowledge of relevant design codes and standards
* Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships
* Experience mentoring or supervising other engineers would be advantageous
