Role: Chartered Mechanical Engineer - Water Sector
Location: 15 different office locations nationwide - Typically 3 days office presence needed and there may be additional flexibility for the right candidate
Rate: Up to £500 p/day - Inside IR35 (Depending on experience)
Duration: 12 months+
Sector: Water Sector - AMP 7 & 8Opportunity to work on clean or waste water projects on non infrastructure projects / water treatment projects.
 
Are you an Engineer looking for a new challenge to assist with clean or waste water projects across  non infrastructure projects / water treatment projects.
 
Carrington West are working with a leading international consultancy who are delivering major design schemes within the water sector who have 15 different office locations you can be based from. We are looking for a Chartered Mechanical Engineer from the Water sector background who has experience in detailed design and is able to assist the consultancy with design review and submission.
 
At present, the business has an opportunity between the  Engineers and Director level where you can add tremendous value assisting in the key design reviews for Wastewater Treatment Projects on behalf of various water Utility companies such as Thames Water, South East Water and Seven Trent you may also be needed to assist with concept and detailed design.
 
In this job you will be working across the full spectrum of engineering design which will include, feasibility, optioneering, detailed design, outline design, final design, preparing reports and technical specifications and proposals for water related non-infrastructure projects for the end client.
 
In order to be suitable, the job you MUST have the below as a minimum:
 
·Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.
·Able to take responsibility for leading small projects and sub tasks from a technical perspective.
·Knowledge and experience of design of one, or more, of the following:
oWater treatment works
oWastewater treatment works
oPotable water networks, pumping stations and reservoirs
oExperience of working within multidisciplinary teams, and able to provide technical mentoring to Graduate Engineers and technicians.
oExcellent communication skills and able to represent in a client facing roles
oKnowledge of Safety in Design principles and accustomed to working to a high standard in terms of H&S compliance.

Minimum requirements:
·BSc, BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering.
·Experience using a 3D design tool and other proprietary software products
·Project management experience
·Industry recognized health and safety qualifications.
·Chartership with a relevant professional institution
·Note candidates that are approaching chartership will also be considered
