A highly regarded construction and property consultancy is seeking a Chartered Building Surveyor to join its growing team. Your new role
As a Chartered Building Surveyor, you will undertake a varied role involving both professional and project-based surveying services across a broad range of sectors. You will work closely with clients, providing expert advice on building-related matters while managing projects from inception through to completion.
Projects include:
Commercial office refurbishments and fit-outs
Residential developments and housing portfolios
Educational facilities
Healthcare buildings
Industrial and logistics properties
Leisure and hospitality schemes
Public sector and community assets
Mixed-use developments
Key responsibilities will include:
Conducting building surveys and inspections
Preparing technical reports and dilapidations advice
Contract administration and project management
Managing refurbishment and improvement projects
Planned preventative maintenance surveys
Defect diagnosis and condition assessments
Party wall matters and statutory compliance advice
Building relationships with clients and stakeholders
What you'll need to succeed
Degree qualified in Building Surveying or a related discipline
MRICS qualified
Previous experience delivering both professional and project surveying services
Strong knowledge of building construction, defects and maintenance
Experience acting as Contract Administrator on refurbishment and construction projects
Excellent report-writing and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and build strong client relationships
Full UK driving licence
