Charges Advisor

Description:

A Local Authority in Worcestershire is seeking a proactive Charges Advisor to join their Housing Income team on a 3-month contract. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering an effective service charge process for tenants and leaseholders while providing outstanding customer service.

In this role, you will manage service charge queries and complaints, support the annual rent and service charge setting process, and ensure charges are accurately applied and invoiced. You will also assist with the recovery of former tenant arrears and housing debts, investigate appeals and complaints, and support responses to Ombudsman enquiries and legal challenges where required.

To be successful, you will have experience working within a financial, accounting, income collection, or housing income environment. You will be confident analysing data, interpreting customer accounts, and providing clear advice to customers and stakeholders. Knowledge of housing legislation, service charges, or debt recovery processes are required.
