Job Title: Chargehand/Supervisor Civil Engineer
Sector: Civil Engineering & Surfacing Operatives
Location: Bodmin Base
Contract Type: Temporary
Salary / Pay Rate: £37,175 – £42,656 TBC
Start Date: TBC
Duration (if applicable): ongoing
Working Hours / Pattern Monday to Friday 45 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise a small team (up to 6 operatives)
* Deliver high-quality civils work (kerbing, drainage, hand-laid tarmac)
* Plan and coordinate plant, materials, and daily site activities
* Conduct briefings and maintain accurate records
* Ensure compliance with RAMS and safe working practices
* Read and interpret utility drawings and plans
Essential:
* CSCS Card, NRSWA Operative
* Full UK Driving Licence (LGV desirable)
* Ability to securely park a 3.5t vehicle
Desirable:
* SSSTS
* Small plant operation (dumper, mini excavator, roller)
Must hold relevant valid tickets to operate machines
