Job DescriptionNHS Lothian Director of Research & Development Reference: CG 2034 Applications are invited for the position of Director of Research & Development for NHS Lothian. This role provides oversight of research governance and strategy within NHSL, working closely with the University of Edinburgh and other academic partners. Responsibilities include leadership of the ACCORD joint NHS Lothian and University of Edinburgh research office, management of the regional R&D budget, and oversight of the NRS fellows and clinicians network. The successful applicant will represent NHS Lothian on a range of national groups, including the Chief Scientists Office NRS Management committee and strategy groups. The post-holder will report to the Medical Director, who is executive lead for R&D. The post attracts up to 3 Programmed Activities (12 hours per week) of protected time and is available from 1st April 2021.
