Role overview

The Control Room is positioned at the heart of a large busy external shopping Park. The CCTV Controller will man the Control Room on 4 days 4 off, 4 nights 4 off shift pattern, working within a team of 4.

Duties include, monitoring CCTV, directing the Security Team on the ground to carry out Occupier checks, deal with emergency calls and supporting customers whilst shopping. The CCTV Controller is responsible for booking in Contractors and to ensure that all car Parking details are populated on the Zat Portal.

The CCTV Controller will be responsible for the park throughout non- operational hours.

You’ll be responsible for:

· Always apply and conduct oneself in accordance with the Site Assignment and Emergency & Incident Management Plans from both Amulet and British Land:

· Comply with the Data Protection Act and ensure that GDPR is followed at all times.

· To maintain the appropriate and optimum usage of the CCTV system.

· Undertake fire system testing as planned under the routine maintenance systems.

· Isolate fire zones for engineers working on fire systems, log all tests and engineer jobs.

· To receive all calls after hours or when the reception is unattended and forward messages on to the appropriate member of staff.

· Control all high-risk tasks, keys, contractors, and issue and then monitor all permits, and limitations to work.

· Follow the Teesside Park incident management plan and be aware of the call out system as and when required during and emergency or crises.

· Ensure that security procedures are being always followed and keeping records and logs fully up to date.

· Completing the DOB as per appropriate procedures.

· Answer lifts and fire disabled refuge points intercoms and assist customers.

· Comply with the DPA requirements as stipulated in the act.

· Monitor CCTV during incidents or for health and safety reasons during operational hours and adhere to requests by security where required.

· Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding company information records of data collected and used during the role.

· Always maintain visual contact (where cameras allow) of staff if & when on external patrols throughout non- operational hours.

· Maintain the perimeter security and integrity of the building constantly, particularly throughout non- operational hours, interrogating all visitors to satisfy their authority to be on site.

About You

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

· Experience of working within the Security Industry is an advantage.

· Ability to work independently and to your own initiative.

· A professional demeanor with sound judgement and integrity.

· Computer literacy is helpful.

Must Haves

· CCTV license is essential.
